Drawing is the new poetry for me. I wrote poetry for 10 years until I just stooped. Then I discovering I enjoyed drawing more than writing poetry because it allows me to stay in a better state of mind. I feel energized and happy using color in my drawings and I just do it for myself. Drawing allows me to express myself in a graphic and more expressive way and It also helps me to visualize the way I want to feel about myself and others. I can draw anywhere and I just need a piece of paper and pen.
About the Drawing:
I was feeling awful yesterday when I made this drawing. I was feeling sad and frustrated and I needed something that make me feel cheerful again. I felt tired of everything and I just wanted to change my mood. I took my notebook and I just imagined the way I wanted to feel at that moment. I imagined my inner child riding a soft and fluffy cloud and just letting my problems flying away from me and just relax and enjoy the ride. This works even when you don’t know how to feel about yourself or others. I just wanted to flow with my life and feel relaxed. It was like magic. I felt so cheerful and full of joy when I left the purple marker on the table again.
You can channel your feelings using creativity to heal yourself from inside, just draw how you feel or how you want to feel. You don’t have to be an artist, you don’t have to have fancy art supplies, Just have fun expressing yourself and allowing you to flow through the lines.
